The scenic route that rises from Florence to Fiesole passes through the stunning Tuscan countryside rich in magnificent villas.
Fiesole is rich in art, history, and nature. The great attraction that is Fiesole’s territory is due partly to the the charm of the routes through the parks and hills, partly to the thick concentration of monuments and vestiges recalling ancient past.
Fiesole is an ancient Etruscan town that later became a flourishing Roman colony, as testified by the beautiful Roman Amphitheater. It is from this settlement that the City of Florence seems to have originated: this is why Fiesole is considered the “mother” of the city.
